The year is 2025 and Chemnitz is the Capital of Culture of Europe. The Purple Path connects the regions around Chemnitz and through the Middle of Saxony and the Ore Mountains.
And Wildbach (small village in the Ore Mountains)? An idea grows wings here …
Despite its outwardly restrained appearance, the church in Wildbach, consecrated in 1806, is one of the most important religious buildings in the region. Built by Johann Traugott Lohse, the pioneer of church and industrial architecture in the region, the unassuming village church harbours a significant artistic and cultural history dating back many centuries. In 2025, the church tower will finally receive its long-awaited refurbishment. We are using this opportunity to set an example for peace and openness to the world and are designing an accompanying program together.

Whether individually or as part of a club, whether in Wildbach, the Ore Mountains or far beyond – there should be so as many small (and light) doves of peace as possible and thus create a powerful sign of peace, solidarity and exchange.
The resulting works will be united in the church to form an impressive swarm as a visible sign of a community that unites for peace across borders, generations and languages.

We are doing everything as a volunteer for the SWARMING Project, only the big lace dove is partially financed in production through subsidies.)
If you are unable to send the dove to us, hang it up in your town, spread the project and send us a picture or share a post with us on Instagram as a real collab (instagram.com/schwaermerei2025). This way, the swarm will grow beyond Wildbach.
